Opinions wanted: brush guard or no brush guard?
I'm in the middle of restoring this '67 C20. I bought it with the brush guard you see in the pics already installed. It's a nice, old aftermarket piece - fits good and is plenty beefy.
 I'm doing a fairly stock-type resto - nothing fancy. Truck will be silver with white trim. I really like the front ends on the '67-'68 trucks and this thing kinda gets in the way of that. I'm torn between putting it back on and leaving it off. What do you think?

I'd take it off. It's not a bad looking piece, but like you said, it covers the front end up. I'd rather see the front end than the cow catcher. Good luck either way.

I do like the looks of it but it would really be better suited for a farm or country truck. If you're going change the truck from stock, it Just wouldn't look right.
Maybe sell it on parts for sale to someone that has an old farm or country type truck... |

Do you have some storage space? If so, why not just get another bumper, paint it to match, and have both. Then after you realize that you never put it back on, sell it with the bumper attached.

For your truck, and what your plans sound like. I'd take it off, but keep it.
67's and 68's IMO have the best grill, and a brush guard kind of detracts from it. Though, if it were a 4x4 I'd keep it on.

I think it suits the rest of the truck - white grill, bumbers and wheels. Leave it on. Of course it is your truck and what we tell you shouldn't make a difference. To each his own.

leave it on it separates your truck from all the other cookie cutters on here with the 18"+ rims and lowering kits.Its a one of a kind look that everybody will know its your truck.

I like the way it looks but it completely distracts from the grill so If you like the grill I would take it off.

C20 , big mirrors , brush gaurd. It all goes together really well. It depends on the look your after though.

i like it i'd find it usefull, truthfully wish i had one i use my truck alot for work, i hate having to pick greenery out of my headlite buckets and grilles. could u take or upload a few more pics? maybe i can build one off that design i think it looks good maybe improve on it.

I like it! and have 2 just like it. It's not an aftermarket piece though. It is pure GM and you should find the GM part number stamped right into it. They were not available from the factory but sold as a dealer installed accessory.
I think it would look right at home on your restoration.
