Van Tilt Shifter

I have a truck tilt column from a 72. I want to replace the shifter to the smaller ones found on van tilts. Would this be a direct swap? If not , what mods would be necessary? Plus what year van tilts would I look for to get the smaller shifter? Thanks Gary

Re: Van Tilt Shifter

The tilt shifters are a direct swap. Early vans seem to have the truck style shifter so I would suggest looking at 75-81 vans. Also, look at motor homes of the 80's vintage.

It is an easy swap out and you can compare the ends to make sure that you have the right shifter once you pull them out.
