is this weird ?
My buddy got from his buddy a 1969 1/2 ton 4x4 with a rockwell trans-case muncie 3 spd and shifter on column, lol 3 on the tree in a 4x4.... is that rare ? i have seen lots of these trucks but never seen 3 on the tree...

Probably not real rare. I don't think there were any autos in a 4x4 before 69. And in 69 i think the only 4x4 auto was in a blazer. I have seen a few 4x4 3 on the tree trucks including my shortbox project...

If you remeber, that's all the old Bronco's usually came with as well, although they are F$rds.

I had a 73 k10 with a 350 3 on the tree and a 205 t-case. Of course it had the dana 44 front and 12 bolt rear. Do not think it was that rare.

years ago i had a 71 blazer 4X4 with column shift, it had the small gear drive transfer case.

My 1971 had the 3-speed manual and NP205. In my opinion, one of the best mods I've made is when I put a th350 and NP205 out of a blazer in place of that 3-speed set-up. That th350 thus far has never jammed between 1st and 2nd.

My Blazer was originally 3OTT and 4X4. I upgraded to SM465 and a rockwell 221.
