93-97 F-body Calipers for rear disk conversion.

Were on a running and driving car earlier this year. Complete with all hardware, e-brake cables and brackets that came off the car. SOLD
I was going to use these with CaptinFab's brackets for rear disks, but decided to go another route. Heres a link to his brackets.

Re: 93-97 F-body Calipers for rear disk conversion.

A question, it looks like those brackets would work on a 10 bolt truck rear. Any ides if they would? Is it a matter of the calipers too far in or out from the flange to work?

I am poor and cheap.......lol. Might make a deal if the brackets would work.

Thanks, pm me because I am forgetful too.

hmmm... I am trying to decide which way to go on brakes. I have a complete rear axle out of a 94 Caprice 9c1, but I see that Captainfab says that if I run the Caprice caliper, there will be no e brke, which leads me back to these...

No idea for sure, but you might be on to something. Even if the center hole is a bit small it could be opened up and as long as you use a rotor the same size as the f-body the bracket should put the caliper at the correct distance from the center of the axle. Like you said the only problem I can see would be the caliper being placed too far in or out. I'll measure the axle brackets tonight when I get home and post up the measurements.

And these even come with good e-brake cables!

Ok, The center hole has a step in it, so one side measures 72mm and the other side measures 70mm.
The 4 mounting holes are not square by anymeans. As you are looking at the picture the top set of holes and the bottom set of holes are 2 and 7/16 apart. the two holes to the left of the picture are 3 and 1/16 apart and the set of holes to the right are 2 and 5/8" apart. If this doesn't make sense let me know.

Cool, I will be out at my shop in the morning. My wife doesn't let me keep anything at home. Will let you know when I get home.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: 93-97 F-body Calipers for rear disk conversion.

I checked out a couple of rears at my shop. They will work on the 10 bolts i have but won't work on what I wanted discs on. Thanks for the measurements but i can't use them with some other brackets etc which puts it out of my budget.

Thanks again,
Steve
