Minor progress
It sure has been a while since I posted any progress pictures of my '67. My two year old son, a new job as of this past April, and life in general have been higher on the priority list. Plus, the lack of garage space, time, and (extra) money doesn't help either. However, I do tinker with it occasionally and start it up and pull it out into the driveway to let it run. One thing I wasn't too thrilled with was the gauge cluster and glove box door that I painted to match my future interior colors (off-white and black). So, I decided to install a new black/chrome gauge cluster bezel and, in the process, cleaned up the installation of my Camaro tachometer and digital air ride gauge. I also installed some momentary toggle switches on the underside of the dash to control the air ride valves. Nothing too exciting, but I guess some progress is better than no progress.

Here's my little pride and joy. He loves cars and trucks.... I wonder where he gets that from?

Re: Minor progress
Well, that was my first car, so it may be his as well. I guess I have a little bit of time to figure that out. He just turned two in August.

Re: Minor progress
Glad to see this update. It's nice to hear you're still chipping away @ the truck & bringing your offspring into the hobby.

Re: Minor progress
Hey Jason, glad to see you are still doing well. Your son has really grown since the last time we stopped by. I think at that time, you were getting ready to bring him home.
Just a chip off of Dad's shoulder.

Re: Minor progress
Nice to see an update from you! Right now I'm trying to figure out the best way to get my truck "done" before my wife and I start trying for kids. I figure I need to get most of it out of the way now.

That was my plan as well, but obviously didn’t work out that way. You’ll still have time to work on your truck (or other projects) once you start a family, but it just takes some planning (both with money and time). Besides, it’s pretty much impossible to have everything planned out before having children. When I was single, I’d get home from work, change clothes, and head out into the garage. Now when I get home from work, the first thing I want to do is play with my son and spend time with the wife. Sure, I’ll finish the truck some day, but it just isn’t a priority anymore.
