What is that breeze on my feet??

I never really gave it much thought when it was hot outside in the morning on the way to work, but it's been sort of chilly this week. I couldn't help notice there seemed to be a major wind going on down by me feet. I had just replaced the blower motor for the heater, but dayum. Anyway, I had to know what the deal was, so I just snooped around since I was home after work. The vent damper on the kick panel on the drivers side of the truck is not there. So I have a great big hole there instead. I think that's the source of the breeze....

OOOh, You got an easy one. Mine is because I got holes in my floor.
Just the other day when it was raining, my wife said " WHY ARE MY LEGS GETTING WET? " I had to tell her.

Re: What is that breeze on my feet??

I'd say thats most definitely your cool breeze on your feet. I don't have any idea why the damper is not there, but they do have handles you pull in and out to open them. I was sad to find out just yesterday that my truck does not have those vents they're nice on a cool day.

I love those vents... both my 87 and my 90 S15 had them. I wish automakers never got rid of them.

Re: What is that breeze on my feet??

This truck actually had an aftermarket AC in it for a while, which I discovered by mistake when I went to replace the missing glove box door. But originally it was a non-AC truck.

Didn't know this, my 81' I had back in high school had a knob to pull to open the vent - no A/C

My 85' I have now, no knob to pull - has A/C

I'm a witness, and a believer
Always some good info here, no what the ????, or who asked it.
