Transmission crossmember ?

I am doing a little searching with no luck so far so figured I would ask. Will a transmission crossmember from a 83 1500 fit in a 67 C10? I will be using a 700r4 transmission. Thanks Brandon

Re: Transmission crossmember ?

cpp makes a tubular one that will do the job for cheap and allow for exhaust to be run over the crossmember if you are going low with it, under $100 with a poly mount

Re: Transmission crossmember ?

I would call to make sure, ask for Jeff, he's great to deal with and gives a site discount, the 700r4 is a 2 bolt mount I believe isn't it? my catologue says all gm 2bolt mount transmissions, I have a th350 myself, they come powdercoated silver and very nice

Re: Transmission crossmember ?

Can you not run exhaust over the stock transmission crossmember?

Re: Transmission crossmember ?

not to my knowledge due to the width where it attatches to the frame, check with the site vendors, most of them give a site discount, CPP is 10% and I had a great dealing with jeff, but they all have good products and depending on mild to wild, you'll find what you need and knowledgable help.
