73 C10 PU Dome Light & Fuse Question
I have a 1973 C10 3/4 (Cheyenne) PU.
Can anyone help me out with a few questions about the dome light. It will not light (by door switches or headlight knob). I have replaced the bulb and nothing. The bulb socket and housing are in good condition. Is the dome on its own circuit/fuse and if so which one on the board is it? Also, anyone know where the wires run for the dome. If it isn't the fuse I'm guessing the circuit is broken but I don't know where it runs to trace it. Where does it ground out? My first guesses are fuse, ground is detached or broken wire but no clue where to look. |

Re: 73 C10 PU Dome Light & Fuse Question
Also check the door switch it could be that. My father's '87 is won't come on any more and he just put a small flashlight in the driverside door pocket if he needs to see in the cab...not a solution in my book but he hardly goes anywhere at night in it anyways.

Re: 73 C10 PU Dome Light & Fuse Question
Looks like the circuit has one hot lead to bulb and 1 return which splits to 3 for all switches. The orange "hot" lead doesnt go anywhere at panel. It just ends at a connector dangling by the fuse panel. So I guess the real question is just.. where does it connect to on the fuse panel?
