Went junkyardin' with pics

Here ya go picture junkies! First truck is a 69 custom 1/2 ton. Was a 396 big block with a 3 speed column shift. And yes the frame is rusted in half. Not much left, but got a few parts from it. And a 67 one ton in the pile. Not much left of any of these. Enjoy...

I do hate to see it, but another 20 years from now it will make our trucks all the more valuable.

I don't think i will be digging in that pile dennis! I like junkin', but like living also... I have seen tipped over stacks out here before. In fact the one ton "eagle" i parted awhile back was sideways on the ground from tipping over.
Wish i could save all the older ones.

Re: Went junkyardin' with pics

I wish we had some yards like that here .When scrap metal went through the roof all our yards cleaned out everything . Nothing old left to dig in.

Re: Went junkyardin' with pics

I grabbed the mounts along with a few other parts.

The yards up here are getting tougher all the time to find anything. Just cross your fingers and hope you hit it right!

Re: Went junkyardin' with pics

Our local yard just put a 55 chevy, 34 IH and 2 60s Mustangs in their front row. Im hoping they did that so people see them and get parts before theyre melted and sent to China.
