Re: Division bar felt replacement

I used a pop rivet gun.The tip wouldn't fit into the channel so i used a short piece of tubing in 1/8 (I think) to extend it.I just put the tube over the rivet rod and pushed it in
the tool.then it reached into the channel easily.

Re: Division bar felt replacement

The felt comes with an adhesive back. You strip the center, set it in place and then do the two sides. Super easy. My 9 year old son helped me . It goes easier with a second set of hands

Re: Division bar felt replacement

I bought mine from the truckandcarshop.com. I think it was like 10.00 + shipping. They worked great.

Re: Division bar felt replacement

I've always took a wide flat screwdriver and dragged it through the channel and cleaned out the channel w a wire brush after that then run a bead of Black 3M glue down the channel and place the new channel strip in the cleaned area! good luck.......

Re: Division bar felt replacement

I bought mine at Classic Parts, I bough a decent rivet gun and ground the sides of each side of the barrel so it would fit inside the track, it changed the barrel from round to rectangular and it still works just as it did before but it fits perfect in the division bar felt.
