49 door handels

hey guys quick question when i bought my 49 i noticed only the passenger door has a key hole for the door lock , the drivers side only has a handle an no key hole...... what gives? was my door lock shaved, it doest appear 2 b an every picture i find of these year trucks appear to b the same.... any help would be appreciated- jesse

You have the stock setup. I believe the second lock was available at optional extra cost, but would welcome confirmation on this.

You lock the driver side with the handle inside pushing it down and slide out the passeger side. Most people got out the passeger side or side walk side back then due to unpaved muddy roads. Yes there was an option for a driver side lock.
