Yea its a Honda...
Just thought I'd show off my DD, its a 92 Honda Accord wagon. I've had this car for 7 years now and have been modifiying it for 2. It started with replacing the rotted exhuast and went crazy from there.
Stock 2.2L single cam, I installed a Gude "racing" cam, Prelude SI intake manifold and throttle body, DC Sports header i bought used and wrapped it, 2.5 exhaust, yes its a little buzzy but it sounds good inside the car. I can spin the wheels thru second gear now. Not bad for a stock clutch with 203k miles on it. Exterior, I did a few things, but not much, My most recent wheel and tire set, I got a dinged up set of rare-ish Prelude SI VTEC "sawblade" 15x6.5, sanded them smooth and polished them, then mounted up a set of BFG G-Force Sports. It is pretty grippy. I also purchased a set of OEM fogs from a friend of mine. I put a set of yellow bulbs so i "got da yellow lamps" Well there is more to it but it'll save it for interested parties later. I really should pay attention to work! |

Re: Yea its a Honda...
I like these. I used to work at the Honda plant that made these in Marysville, Ohio.
Started there in "88. We built a bunch with RIGHT hand drive. WITH a 5 speed for some countries. I would like to have one of those. Was fun driving them around our test track. Germany got most of the RHD 5 speeds. Was a PITA when they came down the assy line, one might be RHD, next one LHD. I was installing steering columns. Not fun running from side to side of the car with tools.

Re: Yea its a Honda...
I like it! The prelude wheels look really good on there. In 1990 (when I was 10) my parents bought a 91 Camry wagon after months of comparing it against the Accord. It's the only new car either of my parents ever bought, and they sold it a couple years ago with about 238k on the clock. No regrets with the Camry, but I always was partial to the Accord wagon. And I always have an eye out for the 5-speeds. They seem to be pretty tough to find. In all honesty, if I could find a 94-97 5-speed wagon with leather, I'd be tempted to sell my truck to get it.

Re: Yea its a Honda...
I have always loved these wagons, I had one when I was in high school around '00-'01 time frame. I lowered it about 4", had some 18" racing harts, shaved door handles, body kit, intake (tube) and some sort of exhaust. Lots of fun, I always loved the looks whenever i pulled up in my wagon. Don't have a wagon now, but I do still have a special place in my heart for them.

Re: Yea its a Honda...
There's a dealer in Nashville right now with a 92 5-speed on Ebay, and it's only got 140k on it. I think it would be a lot of fun.
