Turkey Rod Run
Well...the maiden voyage of my Hugger Orange '65 swb/Fleetside will be in a couple of weeks. I am taking it to Daytona for the Turkey Rod Run. I bought it there one year ago. I am having the hood and bed painted right now. Is anyone else planning on going?

Re: Turkey Rod Run
I'll be there empty handed as well. My tranny isn't shifting to well. Walked around so much last year that my feet hurt. Lots of ground and lots of stuff to look at. And yes I will get me some more fried Oreo's. he he he

Re: Turkey Rod Run
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I've never seen such a wide variety of different styles at the same event. I particularly like the 59 Ranchero and the F1 with mags.

Re: Turkey Rod Run
I made it. Had a great time, as always. I drove the '66 C10 down. But parked in the parking lot at the speedway Saturday. Walked around there all day. Saw most of the swap meet area. Spent all day looking for a chain steering wheel, with no luck of course. Then saw maybe half the show cars, but it was late and people started leaving. So we headed to the Publix parking lot on A1A. Oh man, that place was packed. Like crazy packed. We drove around for ever looking for a parking spot. Took 30 minutes just to drive though there looking for a spot. Of course had to park pretty far away and walk up there. I have never seen so many blown drag cars in one place in my life. I think there was more then gator nationals. Crazy cars. REALLY liked the '64-'66 Suburban (not sure the year) with the twin turbo set up, sitting on huge black wheels and air ride. The owner was pretty blitzed, so it was hard to get any real information out of him, if that was really his truck. But over all not a lot of 60-66 C10's. The ones i did see were nice. Can't wait till Spring Fling to do it all again.

Re: Turkey Rod Run
Of all the pics I took. The suburban came out the worst. It was dark and I never even got one of the body. Those really really sweet wheels. Butway too small a tire for me. I drive my truck everyday. They don't look real road friendly.
