Re: Suggestions for my 69 c-10
u can always lower the truck for a couple hundred and find some new wheels an tires on craigsl for cheap and give the truck a new look.
but always start with the small things and make it reliable first.

I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I think you paid what it's worth to you.
Having said that, I have not seen the truck so maybe it's SUPER nice. But I would check c/l for going price in your area.

Re: Suggestions for my 69 c-10
Why don't you buy a cheap 350, either rebuild it or drop in as is and then turn it over? Or a 400, if you can get one for only a little cash. Would help raise the price of your potential sale.

Re: Suggestions for my 69 c-10
nevermind thought it and decided on keeping it wouldnt be able to let it go so i think ill just buy a 73-79 chevy/gmc with four wheel drive for the north dakota winter. you can find those pickups for 600-750 around here so not too bad.

Re: Suggestions for my 69 c-10
Welcome to the best truck site ever! I think you made a good choice to keep it and find a beater for winter so you don't beat up the 69. I agree with the above, make it reliable then make it your own. If it were me I'd take some time to build the engine you want since you have a running engine now.

Re: Suggestions for my 69 c-10
Yea i think it will be sitting engineless for most of the winter while we build the motor. thinking about a 350 with vortec heads and 280h cam from comp with headers and airgap vortec intake from summit racing. i will try to get some pictures once we start. just have to finish harvesting and we shuld be able to get started.
