q-jet choke linkage
I just took apart my q-jet and installed a rebuild kit, I've got most of it back together, all except the choke linkage which I can't figure out for the life of me. Does anybody have some instructions or pictures on how to out it all back together. I'm wishing now I'd took pictures before i took it all apart, THanks Yall!

Re: q-jet choke linkage
What q-jet do you have? Is it the orginal or a newer electric choke?
I've got some pics from a newer electric choke carb. |

Re: q-jet choke linkage
I agree. If we knew weather it is the round choke or the heater coil in the manifold type. You have to hook the rod down in the recess to a lever that floats on the shaft. It then hooks to the lever on the butterfly shaft. That's about the best I can explain it without haveing it in front of me or a picture.

Re: q-jet choke linkage
Here's a link for you. And Wrenchbender is right about the rod in the hole. Probably the most frustrating part to put back in. Use a little flash light to look down in there. All quadrajets have the linkage rod regardless of the external choke type.
