My GMC 1970 pick up project! Need Help!!!
Hi guys!
I allready post in the new member area...my new ride is an 1970 gmc pick up! I have some questions about the drop for this car... I want a 4,5" drop in the front and a 5" drop rear. In the front i would use 2,5" spindles with 2" lowering springs. In the back 5" springs! And i would use wheels in 9 u. 10x15 " with 255/60-15 and 275/60-15. What you mean fits everything??? my fear is that axle mounts at the back drag on the asphalt! Look at the photo...than you can understand what i mean! Thanks for answering!!! Sascha |

Your axle mounts will be perfectly OK. The mount does not get any closer to the ground with lowering springs just the truck. WES

I will advise you though, that you will want to get 4" rear lowering shocks, and 2" front lowering shocks. Also a super panhard bar kit, and rear shock relocating kit would be in order for this drop.
The reason I am telling you this is because I see you are in Germany and if you purchase everything you need all at once, you will only have one shipping charge. WES

Wilkommen! From the Heart of Arkansas....congratulations on your new project. This site will help you in ways you can only imagine. People here are like another family for you. Only problem is that reunions are expensive and we probably don't have the beer you like. Oh, and it is all cold. None of that dark, room temperature stuff for us, no sir.

Guten tag! I'm not sure about the spindle question, but Wes is right. You wont have any clearance issues and you definitely want to order everything at once so that you dont get killed on shipping.
