body swap question
I have a 1978 3/4 ton pickup that i own and i am looking at a 1985 1/2 ton pickup that i might buy. my cab and body is shot so i need something to swap onto this. would the cab from the 85 1/2 ton fit on my 78 3/4 ton? or would i have to take the brackets off of the 1/2 ton and put them on the 3/4 ton? how about the front fenders and grill? how hard would it be to do that? thanks.

There are differences in the cabs for years 73-80 and 81-87. I think the main difference (if not the only one) is the way the hood hinges mount. The grille and fenders are different too, but I'm not sure exactly how. Hopefully somebody will elaborate the differences for you soon.
