Auction Hunters
There's this show on Spike TV "Auction Hunters" some of you probably already know it...but for those that don't, these two guys go around California and buy abandoned storage units at auction. On last nights show they were in Oxnard, Ca and there was 3 units for auction. One was a 71 GMC. They weren't allowed to touch it or open anything just look. They ended up getting it for $650, popped the hood and there set a 350 crate, high rise intake... then I had to leave for work and didn't get to watch the rest of the show. i think they were going to bring in a guy to appraise it for them.

Re: Auction Hunters
I saw it last night. they got a good deal on it when they bought it. but took the poor sap, that bought it from them. they put a quickie paint job on it and sold it for $6000. so they said. The engine sure wasn't anything special, some grubby old chrome valve covers and a chrome goose neck, with no radiators hose on it. In the bed there was a new 87-up SBC. my guess is the one in the truck was bad. So far Im not into this show everything they showed last night just seamed way to good to be true.
btw there was already a thread going in this topic. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=433443 Last edited by mrhino; 12-01-2010 at 05:21 PM. |
