rookie

long time listener, first time caller...thought I would drop a note and a few pics of the 71 I just picked up. I looked long and hard for a no-rust, clean original or restored truck, which ended up being quite a task. Just a Sunday driver with the kids, let me know what you think as I am sure I will have many questions down the road.

Re: rookie

You wanna know what I think? I think I want to trade. That thing looks great. I would ask what you paid, but that would be rude.

Very nice blazer. Enjoy.

Thanks...
Nubomb - to answer your question on price...lets just say I am happy to be the guy who is proping up values...but frankly after all my research, I found it a lot cheaper to buy one already restored than something that needed everything done to it

That is one clean Blazer
I like LMC catalogs for the breakdown pictures & reference; good for little cheesy stuff but thats about it IMO (definetly NOT sheetmetal). I've had good luck with Kenny's Truck Parts http://www.kennystrucks.com/ I think they are a site vendor.

Re: rookie

Wow great looking Blazer! I'm definitely envious. I would love to have mine in that kind of condition. As far as parts, I tend to look between LMC or Grumpy's here in Phoenix. I have found that Grumpy's can be competetive in price especially since there isn't the additional cost of shipping.

BTW-Welcome from another Phoenix member!

Re: rookie

Tdkosta - I did pick up a full set of parchment belts (my truck only had 2 in the rear)...thinking of sending the set of belts to Python or Ssnakeoyl for restoration, has anyone used these guys or have any comments on them?

Ssnakeoyl re-webbed the seat belts for a 69 GTX I restored 4 years ago. I highly recommend them.

By the way, love the blazer.
