67-68 steering wheel, whats it made of??
ok i'll try to explain this as simple as possible.
how thick is the coating of the 67-68 steering wheels? if i where to remove all that "coating" would the steering wheel keep the same shape?? if so i want to do this and chrome one. thanks |

i believe that it si just metal rods going down every spoke and around where you put your hands and the coating then put on top so that would not work

The ones I've seen are made from cracks and dirt, held together by bits of plastic.

THere are places that can chrome over fiberglass or plastics. you could fill in the cracks and bondo or fiberglass it and then sand it smooth and get one of those shops to "chrome" it. Sounds like a cool idea!
