71 Chevy P/U wheel choice?
I have a chance to buy 2 excellent 15X5's Weld Wheel superlites for $200. Do you think they would be ok on the front of the truck? I was wanting 15X6's but this is a good deal. That is about half price of what new ones are now.

Re: 71 Chevy P/U wheel choice?
I run 15x3's on my S-10. I think a 5 will be fine on a C-10, you can still run say a 235/70 like I ran on my 67 all the time on that same wheel width. I say buy them if you like them.

Re: 71 Chevy P/U wheel choice?
i know of no tire manufacturer that recomends a 235X70X15 on a 5"rim
everyone i know of at least a 6" minimum rim is recomended for correct tire wear and performance

Re: 71 Chevy P/U wheel choice?
I work for Good Year an I think the max tire is right along a P225/15 for 5 inch wheels although the 235 would work on the wheel it would result in a lot of wear in the center of the tread area on the tire.
