57 door assembly procedure
I have the factory assembly manual, it shows all the pieces but nothing about order of assembly. I had it all apart and got it back together but if there was new paint on the door it would have been ugly.
can those whiskers deals be put in last? is there enough room left over? the long window felt that goes across the top and down the back, the re-pop part doesn't have the tabs that hold it up. Vendor suggested to glue it? Anybody tried this? Glue it in the long vertical channel? Pop rivets? ANybody know where to buy black pop rivets? |

Re: 57 door assembly procedure
Not all of us are there yet and SOME people paid someone to do it. Sorry we don't have more answers yet.

Re: 57 door assembly procedure
I took sequential photos when I disassembled my doors (59). I will see if I can find them this week end (sorry for the delay but I am slammed at work).

Re: 57 door assembly procedure
The felt that goes around the glass will stay in place on its own. The doors can be reassembled after painting, but tedious.
