Re: Ebfabman
i got a set. I've never done body work or owned one of these trucks before, so it helped a great deal. I'd liked to have had all the tools he had, but I made do with what I had. To me it was worth it. Good luck with yours. Jim

Re: Ebfabman
I'm a newb sheetmetal welder so I had no clue on panel replacement. His video gave me the confidence to start replacing panels on my truck. I actually started with the bed first and hope to do the cab floor this spring.

Re: Ebfabman
Thanks for the good words. FYI I get nothing when you rent from that web site and I didn't know he intended to make himself money by renting the videos out. That guy is not a truck bro so supporting him through his video rental business does not help our hobby, but I understand about the money.
thanks again......eb Last edited by ebfabman; 12-21-2010 at 02:56 PM. Reason: spelling |

Re: Ebfabman
"...If you guys are talking about the same site I am thinking of, it looks as if he makes a living off of other people's work. Efabman, you may have grounds for a copyright infringement case against them.... "
yes I know its not right and you're right about them making money on others work, but thats the way the law is, at least for now. This comes up from time to time and like I said right now there is nothing that can be done about someone buying up a bunch of videos and renting them out. I have several more videos ready but I'm not going to publish them til (we) the film making community deals with this renting issue....but thats another subject. thanks for you concern and remember knowledge is power so stay informed and don't let others make rules that can adversely affect you. Now back to working on trucks. Last edited by ebfabman; 12-22-2010 at 09:31 AM. Reason: spelling as always. if I could spell like I weld I could write a best selling novel! |

Dang, sorry. I assumed you would get a percentage of the rental. I'll not share that in the future.

Re: Ebfabman
I'd like to see more about the actual body work in the video's. Like how to hammer on the welds and get them to look as good as yours eb. Like I said though, the videos were definetely worth the purchase price. I was "scared" to start cutting until I watched the videos. On another note, If you can, build one of those body tilts so you can rotate the bottom up. It will make the work tons easier if you can. Good luck.

Re: Ebfabman
I don't see any post about someone renting the dvd's out, but if that is the case, I would not rent them, that is not what it's all about to me...I want to learn the craft, so I will invest in the set myself! Maybe he can offer a special for us members on here...just a thought!

Re: Ebfabman
If you want to see more of his work check out this link.....the guy is an amazing talent....which is why I am saving my pennies so I can take my truck to him to have the repairs done right the first time.
