Re: Anyone in portland oregon want to help work on my POS?

Heres what I think you should do.. come up with a plan of a few things you want to get done, gather parts if you dont already have them, post dates here and pm people interested in helping your address. Then as many people could show up and lend theyre brain/hands. Just a quick idea of how to get the ball rolling. Maybe throw a mini meet at your place the first weekend of the new year? byot (bring your own tools)!

Guys...
This is not a FS thread so lets not turn it into one. I think it is way that people are willing to help sickred72. This is what makes this forum family special. Good look with your build sickred72 as it looks like a sweet truck and when you get done it will be a truck that you can be proud of.

Re: Anyone in portland oregon want to help work on my POS?

Consider it a job. If you finish that truck, it will sell in a day or two for big money. That is how you will get your new project going, by making space and all the money you need will be in your hand.

Re: Anyone in portland oregon want to help work on my POS?

We've done this a couple of times up here. But you need to do all the planning. You need to provide the food and a dry place to work. Make it fun and give plenty of notice. Dont let it turn in to a beer drinking party. Keep the drinks to soda/juice and water. Most everyone likes burgers and dogs off the bbq.

Both times we did it it was a lot of fun and a large amount of work got done. But this is just my opinion, I dont know if a bunch of guys will want to get together to work on your truck just so you will be able to sell it easier. Most people like to see their buddy enjoy their efforts not profit off of them. (so you should plan on keeping it awhile before selling her)
