FYI: V-8 engine stands... Know em

Been meaning to do this for awhile. Notice on the 72 and 73 stands the upper bolt locations and a single "bump" on the 72 and 2 "bumps" on the 73 and ups. If anyone wants to add the 6 cyl stands or any other info, please do. Enjoy.

Might be a good idea to have the mods move this thread to the FAQ. I know I'd like it there to reference it when I need it.

Here are some pictures I took awhile back to clear up some confusion folks have with the difference between I6 and small block mounts.

I've read somewhere that a SBC can be installed using '72 BBC engine towers (the ones that bolt to the frame). To make this work I need to know what clamshell mounts are used (these are the ones that bolt to the engine block). Either BBC or SBC - are they the same? Also what rubber mounts are used - these are the ones that bolt directly to the '72 BBC frame towers. Do I use '73 up SBC or BBC rubber mounts?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I used these tubular mounts for my big block. It took the confusion out of it.
