Windshield wiper motor and Heater Blower problem
Guys I need your help with 1984 C10 Silverado
My windshield washer bottle hoses and the two upper wire harness plug-ins on wiper motor have been disconnected since I bought the truck. Yesterday I replugged everything, the wipers need assist to get started, they moves really slow and would not respond to switch selections. When attempted to spray windshield I notice smoke coming from selector switch, so I unplugged the two plugins. The wipers still work slow, but my blower Fan quit working. I realize now, maybe this is why these two plug-ins was disconnected from wiper motor. Do the wiper motor and blower fan share the same power source or fuse link Any information you can provide will be helpful, Thanks |

Re: Windshield wiper motor and Heater Blower problem
Those are separate circuits check the Blower fuse and make sure current is getting to the switch and blower. One thing all circuits have in common is the ground circuit, check to make sure the cab and dash are grounded properly, the windshield wiper switch is a grounding switch which gets grounded from the dash which is grounded through the cab to the battery, the blower motor is grounded through the cab so start there.
