Cool Non stock tach

As the stock factory tachs seem to get high prices, I wanted to see what you all install that fit in the opening, but are less expensive.

Re: Non stock tach

8door,

Check out this members thread on doing a tach conversion with a Camaro Tach. Said he got the tach on ebay and it was from a '72-'78 but says he has heard anywhere from '70 to '81 will work. Check it out:

Good Luck

Re: Non stock tach

That's good info.
I also just went on ebay and found several listed for Camaros
at under a $100 low as $60.
And that keeps the overall look the same and is Chevrolet.

Re: Non stock tach

yep, it sure does. i was gonna go the camaro tach route and then i got lucky at the carlisle spring show in pennsylvania, i found factory gauges with a tach. the bezel was cracked pretty bad. I gave the guy $40.00 cash and walked. I have since rebuilt it and cant wait to put it in my truck. good luck on you tach gauge build.
