Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
Where are you guys getting these high quality brake parts at?
The online dealer locator for Wagner list Oreillys but they don't carry the Wagner full product line. They keep trying to sell me Wagner shoes/pads & the rest is their house brand stuff. I tried getting them to order stuff, but after 2 messed up order attempts, I'm looking for alternatives. I checked on-line for parts info on Raybestos & it's just generic info... no specifics. When I clicked on the 'dealer' locator icon, it directs me to full service shops; no parts houses. I'd prefer to use one of these brands vs. a 'house brand' as I want to do the job only once. Let me know what you know!

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
Pretty sure I bought my Raybestos pads and such from Early classic enterprises. Then my local car quest started carring Raybestos parts and I bought there ball joints. Good luck.

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
I've been trying to find a local 'chain' type place. It's a PITA to do warranty stuff when the supplier is out of state.

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
I looked and never found a local dealer who had every thing in either brand. I got the Wagner shoes from O'rielly. Pep Boys claim their house brand is Raybestos which they used to carry.

One of my buddies suggested Bendix brand & even gets his stuff from a place between my house & work (close to me but I never knew the place existed). Since Bendix was (is?) an OE hydraulics supplier, I'll go that route.

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
I'd be willing to bet that CARQUEST carries raybesto's brakes. All of their "House Brand" steering parts are Raybesto's Pro line.
EDIT :Just looked at the CARQUEST "house brand" blue pads box that my dad put on his daily.... Here's what it says, "Made exclusively for CarQuest by Affinia Group, supplier of Raybestos brand brakes".

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
No one in town here carries name brand anymore except a few overpriced local shops. I buy mine from www.rockauto.com

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
The problem w/buying on-line or out of state/area is the warranty hassle should something fail. Most places don't replace w/o 1st inspecting which requires sending the part in, letting them determine the necessary info, & then returning a replacement to you. I guess that can work for something you don't need daily....

Re: Raybestos or Wagner Brake Parts
RockAuto carries raybestos also, looks to me like Raybestos and the chinese brand are made in the same place. I bought new tie rod ends, ball joints, etc from rockauto for about $150.00 lots less expensive than moog and I would bet they are made in mexico or china also. Napa, oreileys, autozone, all of them their parts are made in mexico or china........
