Inline six
I have a dumb question, did chevy motors come from the factory painted blue? I am looking at buying a running inline six from an 84 C10. The motor is complete with dizzy, starter, alt, carb, and intake. I am wanting to put this motor in my 69 GMC. I am going to put a 4.3 throttle body on it, some headers, and a 200r4. I don't think its a ford inline, but you can tell the paint has been there a long time, the whole motor is painted on a light blue color. Any input would be great.

Re: Inline six
If it's an integral head 250 then headers and intakes don't fit.
Integral head means intake is cast with the head. All one piece. |

Re: Inline six
Thank you for the information. It does not have the integral head thank goodness. I bought the whole engine for $125!

Re: Inline six
I love the 1/2 dozens. I had a 79 GMC long bed with 3 on the tree with one. The body rusted out from under it. Shame, too 'cuz it was still running great.
I've messed with a lot of brands 6 cylinders and my favorites are the chrysler 225, the ford 300, the chevy 250 and the jeep 4.0L. sb |
