Engine Wiring harness question......HELP!!!!!!!!

Ok I really need some help here, so hopefully somebody has the answers. I have an 85 c-10 with a 305 and I need an engine harness. I have looked at the wiring diagram and am unable to figure it out and answer my own question.

I have a 79 parts truck with a good engne harness and a 305, can I use it? Basically are all the connectors where it plugs into the firewall in the same positions for both harnesses? I realize I may have to change some connectors on the engine side, but does someone have a wiring diagram to answer my question? I looked at the one in my Hanes manual which stinks and I just can not follow it so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Gregg
