exhaust manifold question

What works best on a 350 , the center dumps or the angled back rear dump manifolds. They have to be able to clear the 3 speed shift linkage. The 350 will be in the 6 cyl position as well

With your sb mounted in I 6 position, you will have right @ 3 1/2"(plus or minus 1/8") of eng setback from factory V8 sb position. The straight dumps should work fine, & you can also step up to the vette manifolds with a 2 1/2" outlet. The factory sb's had angle dumps in the 2 wd trucks, to help with clearance on the eng crossmember......on the 4wd trucks, the sb is mounted in I 6 position, & used straight dumps. good luck, crazyL

That's what I figured would be the best route to go. I had some headers that a buddy gave me a while back, but they seem to have sprouted legs and walked out of the shop.
