I am also going to put the pipes out in front of the wheels but at a different angle. Is the sound a very low tone or is it different than that?

Re: 355 True Duals

running 3" pipe for a small block your going to loose a lot of bottom end power and at speed it will sound like its about to come apart

Im running 3" all the way out to be hind the wheels on my crew cab with a big block and hooker aero chamber mufflers. on the freeway people look back to see whats comming up beside them its LOUD

Re: 355 True Duals

I agree, 3" is waay too much pipe for your average small block.

Re: 355 True Duals

I'm running 2" true duals from the factory manifolds all the way back without cats and with some Flowmaster knockoffs (figured they would be temporary but I like them) and then down to 1.5 inch chrome tips in the back (for that old school look) it sounds really nice, not to loud but you can hear it from a ways away but doesn't drone in the cab.....hopefully will sound better when I install some new headers..

Re: 355 True Duals

with the right muffler and a few bends in the pipe back pressure is not a problem. look at copper head 3" pipe all the way back.

Copperhead had a 572, 3 inch pipes on a 350 will actually cost you some torque
