Re: How about some pictures of rear bumpers with dealership stamps
I,ve got a pic for ya. Was that common for the dealer to have their name engraved? I'm guessing the bumper was installed at Koenig Chevy. This is a solid old truck with no rust under the hood (by hood hinges etc.) or cab corners and floor boards. I even have the delivery paperwork and warranty card (metal stamp). Grandpa bought it new in Nov. 1965 to be used for his construction co. He passed in 91, truck had 71,000 on it. A friend of mine owned it for 10 years or so, pulled the heads and let the block rust. I bought er back for $500, put a $100 craigslist 283 from a 66 impala in it thinking its gonna knock or smoke or well you know. To my suprise it is a screamer even with the stock 2bbl, hasn't burned any oil in 1,000 miles. The only non stock items are the wheels of course (split rims are in the shed) and dual exhaust.
66 C20 283 muncie 4sp 4.56 rear (likes the fuel) : ) |

I was also wondering how common that was . I just picked up a 65 step side and the bumper is stamped in large letters ... Tyrrell Chevy - Buick - Flagstaff AZ .
