Note from '67 GM Truck Designer Harry B. Bradley - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

When I did a story a decade ago with one of my heroes Harry Bradley on his work as designer of the '67 Chevy and GMC trucks he left this note of his door on where to drop the magazines at his house when the story was completed. He was very pleased with the finished story and even had his wife call me to tell me how much she enjoyed it as well. Was a great memory and hopefully someone can add a scan of the story here. Thanks Jim

Jim, I loved your article and your "Circus Wagon" truck. Remember it well. I started reading (and keeping) Custom Classic Truck and Classic Truck magazines when they were few and far between. When they became a dependable monthly publication, I was happy.

I have referred to Harry's article numerous times when talking to other people. The changes for '69, were not to his liking, according to the article. Yet, they happened in response to management's "urging". I know you already know, but the '67-8's, are the epitome of the design of this model run.

The truck rendering is slick, fo sho.

I concur, Mr Bradley did an awesome job in his design. It's unfortunate the GM execs succumbed to pressure to change it so quickly.

I would LOVE to see a reproduction of that article. I do remember it well, but gave up on collecting mags years ago. It would be a great tribute to Harry B. Bradley and your writings to see it all posted here.
