Arrow Fuel Sending Unit to Ground question.

I would love to have the knowledge of how to ground my Fuel Sending Unit. I can't see a ground anywhere by just looking behind the seat. Installed a new unit but it still isn't functioning correctly.

Can I get a little help with this one people??? :}

Re: Fuel Sending Unit to Ground question.

the sender is grounded to the tank
the tank (assuming it's bolted to the cab) is grounded to the cab
the cab is grounded to the frame
the frame is grounded to the battery

You probably have another problem. Whats the actual fault?

Re: Fuel Sending Unit to Ground question.

What type of problems are you having. I could not get mine to read properly until a board member suggested I replace the resistor on the back of the fuel gauge and problem was solved.

Re: Fuel Sending Unit to Ground question.

The gauge read 1/8th of a tank for 6 years or so, never drove the pickup I just kept it in storage. Had a new sending unit installed since I had already bought it b4 I started reading all this good stuff on this board about the different possibilities that might b the problem. :}

After installation and a fill up, it went through half a tank rather quickly and slowed down around a half of a tank and I thought it was going to work for me but it didn't move from there and has slowly eased down to 1/4 tank. :{

I tried to work after the new sending unit was installed is what puzzles me...
