Re: Air bag kit for 2nd gen camaro subframe?
Would something like this work?
http://www.auto-addicts.com/product_p/baga-25aaaa.htm I dont need a compressor. I have some 2,200 psi air bottles that I can easily refill. I was thinking that a hidden dial regulator like what you would use to adjust the output pressure for your air compressor would work. I dont want "switches" in the cab. What do you guys do? I would think that I could make something instead of buying these: http://www.auto-addicts.com/ProductD...F7081&CartID=1

My 73 C-10 is bagged and the 50 I'm building will be bagged. I wouldn't run air ride without switches in the cab. I've had friends that started out with tanks and eventually went with on board compressors. If you develop a leak you'll need air asap.

Re: Air bag kit for 2nd gen camaro subframe?
That makes sense. Do you have pics of the neccessary trimming by chance? Maybe I will start with the high pressure air bottles and move to a compressor later. Are those bags acceptable for using on a camaro? I want to be able to air it out to the bump stops and be able to inflate it to normal stock ride height. Im a total noob when it comes to air bags. Thanks for the help guys!

Those bags look OK but I've not heard of the brand.
As far as cutting the spring tower.....I'll try and get some pictures this weekend of my S-10 chassis to give you a general idea. My setup will be using the same style bag cups, I'll get you some pics of those as well.

Re: Air bag kit for 2nd gen camaro subframe?
Ok, I am going to give making my own brackets a whirl. I ordered two each of the upper and lower universal brackets. I'll need to pick up some 5.5" tubing/pipe to weld onto the upper to space it down. I would REALLY appreciate some pictures to help guide me along! I want to be able to get it up to the factory-ish camaro height, as well as drop it down. Here are a couple of other bags I was looking at:
Slam Specialties RE Series 5" Air Bag Single Port 200psi Sale Price $85.00 5.5" Diameter. 2.9" Collapsed Height 8.0" Extended Height -or- Slam Specialties RE Series 6" Air Bag Single Port 200psi Sale Price $85.00 6" Diameter. 2.9" Collapsed Height 10.0" Extended Height I was leaning toward the 6" bag since its extended height is a couple of inches taller. I want to be able to get it up to the normal ride height of the camaro suspension. Thanks a bunch! Nik
