Tail Light body section
has anyone done a replacement of the tail light area, particularly on the passenger side? I was hit and ran in a parking lot and cant afford to get it done right and was wondering if this is a decent first body project? Or am I getting in deep starting with this. I will post Pics tomorrow.

Re: Tail Light body section
My own experience was that they don't fit right. They can be made to fit, but it's a little bit of work. Here's a link to a post on my blog dealing with that taillight panel...
http://www.1971chevysuburban.com/unc...l-shennanigans Basically, I had to cut a long wedge out from bottom to top, and pull in the outer section, where it turns into the quarter panel. Not a huge deal, but if you're not comfortable with a little bodywork, it could be daunting. Just my $.02... |
