Air temp prob.
So I replaced my heater core, blows hot air now. But, I broke the end of a cable that goes to the blend door I think. I rigged it up where it would kinda work but I can't get the temp lever on the controls to slide all the way to the left. I think the jacket of the cable moves with the cable inside of it which is not allowing me to get the slider all the way to the left. Where can I get a new cable, and is this what is called the "blend door" control?

Re: Air temp prob.
i got the replacement cable at my local dealership parts counter. Think it was around $18 a few years ago if i recall correctly. I broke off the end of mine at the blend door when I was trying to find a way to get a little more range-of-motion out of mine, because i found it wasn't reaching full open or closed, and experienced warm air when i didn't need it in the summer, and it allowed cool air in during the winter months.
I have ended up still needing to disconnect my temp cable and manually forcing it full-closed each fall in preparation for the cold winter months. But I just deal with the little heat in the summer months and run with windows and kick-panel vents open to try and cool.
