Build Sheet Question...
FYI: The attached picture is NOT my Glove box.
I have a question. My 72 GMC is in the shop undergoing an Interior Restoration/Customization. I am switching the Glove Box Door over to an aftermarket Billet Door. My Glove Box Door has the the sticker (attached picture). I dont think I can peel this original sticker off, to attach to the NEW Door. I was going to Color Scan it, and either attach it to the new door or seal it and just keep it in the Glove Box. My question is, how important is it to certain Individuals to have this? I know it's an important part of History to my Truck. Just gauging peoples interest, and how important it is to an Owner and/or Buyer.

In my initial post (IN BOLD, at the very beginning of my Post) I said that this is NOT my Trucks Glove Box. I was only using it< as a "stock photo" because MY Truck was in the shop and I didn't have access to it. Longhorn Man :My bad on the Verbiage. You are correct. It is a SPID. So now explain to me, what the acronym "SPID" stands for.

Re: Build Sheet Question...
first... that is not a build sheet, it is a SPID. They are not the same thing. The build sheet was the list that went down the assembly line telling the workers what to put on the car/truck, optional, base, item-delete, what piece went with what combination of parts, etc. The SPID is a list of optional equipment that was put on the vehicle at the end (or close to the end) of the line.
As long as you keep the original glove box door, then the whole topic is moot. |
