Holly Red Fuel pump
Im moving things around on my 70 (fuel lines) and want to move the pump as well. It is currently mounted on the fender wall and I want to move it somewhere it wont be seen. Does anyone have any ideas where the best location would be? Should it be closer to the tank (currently origonal) or the carb?
Also, pictures of mount set up is appreciated.

Electric pump? As close to the gas tank as you can get.

Re: Holly Red Fuel pump
Thats what I was thinking...
Quote:
Can I run it along the frame rail (which is real close to my exhaust)? I don't feel as if that would be the safest place for it.

Re: Holly Red Fuel pump
I run a Holley red pump, and have it mounted to the frame below the in cab gas tank. No issues, and my truck lays frame. I do however have it mounted to the outside of the framerail, and my exhaust is ran inside the frame rails. Don't expect it to be quiet as a church mouse though, those pumps are loud no matter where you put them.

Re: Holly Red Fuel pump
Mine was mounted on the frame about a foot from the back of the frame rail about 9in from my fuel cell. Worked amazing, just be sure to put some kind of rubber insulator between it and the frame rail otherwise it resonates the humming sound thru the truck
