Re: bagged ?

why would you want that much pressure in your bags? You trying to launch it in the air?

Re: bagged ?

That is the bag rating, it is not going to take that to lift your truck.

Re: bagged ?

If it takes 250 psi to raise your truck, even from the frame up to stock height, your bags are WAAAAAAY too small. You would literally be hopping the truck off the ground, given you were running big valves and lines and not 1/4 inch ones. I do not have gauges on my system, but I do know that I run 200 psi in my tank, 1/2 inch valves and lines, with mufflers on the dump valves to help slow it down and keep it quiet when laying out the truck. The front lifts up till the shocks lock up and stop upward travel, and at that height I have maybe 120 psi in the bags. The rear it takes even less, as its much lighter without less sheetmetal and no motor back there. Locked up is about 80 psi.

The only advantage you have to running 200 psi is with more pressure, the more air per gallon you have aviable to you for repeated filling of the bags. Depending on your compresser and pressure switch it will work harder to fill your tanks till the pressure switch says it is full. Meaning your compresser does not work as hard to fill from 90 to 150 psi as it does to turn on at 165 and fill to 200 psi for example.

Re: bagged ?

My truck sits at stock height with the front at like 60psi and the back at like 40.

*** Front might be around 80 psi actually

Thats probably closer to what mine actually is, but I dont know exactly. I need to plumb some gauges in, but then again, I have had it for almost 5 years now without them. I know if it rides really good, and the ride would be a little rough at 120 psi lol.

Re: bagged ?

Every truck will be different. Comes down to 3 factors..

Weight of truck (engine size too)
Placement of bag
What size & brand bag are they running

Re: bagged ?

You have to remember you'll only get as much PSI as your tank and compressor can provide. And bags can take 250PSI+ without exploding. Had some bags up to 800PSI hopping before they gave out

Like most have said your front will most likely lock up between 80-120PSI. Rear is generally half that PSI to lock up. From all the bag'd trucks I've dealt with.
