wiper trouble
i have a 70 c10 that ive been getting road worthy but i am having wiper trouble. at first i didnt think they worked at all. but earlier i turned the switch and they moved barely. so i wd40ed the wiper arm thinking it may have seized but it didnt speed up. they act like they arent getting enough power but my battery and alternator work great. as far as i know, its the original motor also. appreciate any ideas?

Re: wiper trouble
Did you check the wipers whan the windshield was wet or dry?
If the windshield was wet check the voltage at the wiper and make sure the switch is well grounded. If they are good then it is a good possibility that the motor is getting weak. Jim

Re: wiper trouble
We had the same problem, the motor was weak. It would some times push them one way but not the other. You can test the motor, follow the instructions at this link:

Re: wiper trouble
I had the same issue with my avatar truck. turned on the wipers and they moved real slow(in the rain no less) after about 5 minutes they sped up. I think it was because the truck sat for 5 years or better & they just dried up now my wipers are a little slower than I would like but still work and I'm ok with it. cheers, Pat
