Body Weight
Question does anyone one know what the entire body weighs on a 57 3100 if you lifted it off the frame?

but i dont know actual weight... my truck (frame, engine, trans, driveshaft, wheels, radiator, axles etc.....) was 3060 lbs (no bed wood) the heaviest body piece is the cab, without doors it can be moved with 2 people (I did it last weekend) but i wouldnt recomend it... 4 people make it a piece of cake. Do you just want to know the weight of the steel? or are you trying to plan the dissasembly? an explanation might help us give you an idea of what you want

Re: Body Weight
I think cabs are about 600 lbs. I'm guessing the bed is around 600 with wood etc. front fenders and doors hood etc 350? Hmm darn close to the 1500 figure above. Engine is about 600, transmission 85 ish, rear end hmmmm 150 or so front axle 100, 200 for springs, seat 120 ?? all these are guess's. Frame 650? Anyone know for sure?
