Scotts Bolt it Xmember Requesting Pics

I had the chance to talk to Justin at the cpp cruise, he gave me alot of great information that i wanted to know. The pictures on the website do not do justice for how nice of a piece this is. Justin pointed out some great information on upgrade options that will still clear stock 15inch wheels. I see alot of talk about there xmembers on here but haven't seen any pictures of them fully installed or pictures of trucks with them laying out. So if you have them post them. Thanks again Justin you will most likely hear from me soon.

I will tell anyone on this board in my honest opinion the nicest quality frontends are purchased through Scotts. There welding is second to none and the true craftmanship is unreal. Anyone on the fence on what vendors to checkout take a look at Scotts Hotrods.

Re: Scotts Bolt it Xmember Requesting Pics

It is kind of funny there are no pics yet from our customers out there who have our bolt in ifs units. We have several of our customers we have sent mess to them to post up some pics.Almost 90% of them have never even heard of this great truck site.We are trying to get them to join on the fun here.We have a few differnt tech articles coming out soon with install pics of out bolt in ifs for people to see.

In the 60-66 truck section you can look at our personal shop truck I am building it does have our bolt in ifs.One more to look at in the 60-66 section Delmo build project x that has one of our bolt in ifs units.

On your truck 54 caddy your floor does not have to be modify at all.

Re: Scotts Bolt it Xmember Requesting Pics

I foregot to tell you guys this little piece of info. My Xmember was I think the third one that Justin made for these trucks. As a matter of fact when I put this one in, nobody had installed one in a Squarebody. So I took the inner frame braces and made them taller so Justin would have a good pattern to go by. That is why they are ugly in my pictures. I have the new ones I just have to install them.

Re: Scotts Bolt it Xmember Requesting Pics

there's a few pics, i can say that it went together just like it should. You have to drill two extra holes for the motor mounts and slot two others for the x member, and then it all bolts in. But you have to expect that seeing how it's a 31 year old frame. And i will buy off scots hot rods again, justin is awesome to deal with.

Re: Scotts Bolt it Xmember Requesting Pics

Here are some pictures of mine. I did an install viedo of it but the guy who shot it is gone with the tape. It fit really good I had no trouble at all with it. I did find some cracks in the frame that need to be fixed before I go any further. I had a paying job come in the shop [you know how that goes] I'm getting back on it in the next couple of weeks.

Those inside frame supports we did not make ourselves at all.Lou did those. You can look at drag 80 pics and you can see the inner frame supports and motor mount tabs that come all welded on for a very easy install.
