Good day for me....

Went to a wrecking yard today after work to pick up a part I had seen (for a fellow board member) & while there, I noticed a dually being parted out. I took a look under the front end (that was easily accessible) & noticed a big 'HD' 1.25" sway bar . Then I walked around a little & found a 82 truck w/the instument cluster still there . . . complete w/a wiper switch w/delay & the module .

Ok, I'm happy @ this point @ my scores . . ... I go up to pay & the guy remembered me from previous dealings & he just told me to 'not worry about it'.

HD sway bar & intermittent wipers for free . That's my kinda deal.

Nice finds! I need to get out the salvage yards more often. There are so many in the DFW area, it would make other people sick!

This kind of stuff never really happens to me. I'm thinking it was kharma . . ... since the only reason I went by there in the first place was to get a bracket & pivot for a fellow member. I remembered seeing the bracket on a previous visit & while I was there I figured I would browse around. They also had a pass fender for my 68 beater that I might go back & get if I don't find another elsewhere.

I'm such a dork... I've prob told everyone close to me about this ( like I said, this kind of stuff just doesn't come my way often). My luck is usually bad, bad enough my buddies have a name for it . . .... 'scotluck'.
