painless wiring???
has anybody used on of the universal painless wiring kits?
i need to rewire my truck and this looks like a good option |

Never used one myself, but a buddie redid and old International Scout several years ago and swears by it. Good luck man.

I bought the 18 circuit harness specifically for our trucks. I'm no expert by any means but it is fairly easy to install, take your time don't rush through it.

I got a kit from American Autowire. http://www.americanautowire.com/69-72truck.html It is really complete nice quality and great instructions. I wanted to move to the newer fuse types and add connections for electric locks and windows, and this kit has plenty of extra connections. One note is that they do not support the ammeter. This was not a problem for me as I am also installing a dash from Classic Instruments http://www.classicinstruments.com/ The two are plug and play.

I used the 18 circuit harness for are trucks also. It was easy to do but i didnt need most of the wires so if your dont plan on using alot of extra power stuff there is no need for 18 circuits. The best price i found it for was on ebay

Use Isis. more control, programmable. I've heard new system coming also with advanced contols for windows, analog guage drive, fuel sensing, even carputer interface. Give truck all modern features...
