Re: parts heaven

I saw a craigslist ad for him also. Emailed him about a rear end and got a very quick response. Seems to have lots of stuff, but the price he gave me was higher than one I found closer to home.

Re: parts heaven

Yep... this is really a great yard for C10 parts of any and every kind.

His name is Dean Johnson, and his yard is located near Sevierville, TN. My son and I purchased quite a few nice used parts from him the first of January. He has just about anything you would need to restore our trucks, but he is very proud of his parts (expensive). But, if you want the best used stuff available, he is the man to see.

Stacy David (Gearz) used a lot of his parts during the build of the Copperhead truck a while back on his show "Trucks".

He is a very honest, direct and friendly collector who knows C10's and is a wealth of knowledge. I count him as a good friend and someone who has always come through with that one part that has eluded me.

Plus, he's an old guy like me.

Re: parts heaven

I emailed him a few times about some items I need. His prices are high, but he claims they are near new in terms of condition. From the pictures I looked at, I would guess it's true.

Re: parts heaven

He used to be a member, maybe still is. Last time i spoke with him he complained about tire kickers and low sales. He recently bought quite a bit of NOS stuff from near Erwin Tenn, missed it by 2 days! It was some pretty nice stuff and he keeps alot of parts vehicles as well. For those of you in the area, he is usually at Charlotte Auto Fair (next week) out in one of the fields outside the track.

Talking Re: parts heaven

No offense but when someone says they have rust free sheetmetal and it has had a fender cup or door bottom put in it! Well I guess you could call that rust free. They are just way to many more options for priced right quality parts. IMO
