Question Identifying GMC grille...?

How do I tell the difference in years for 67-72 GMC grilles? I have a picture of one I'm going to sell on eBay but am having troubles uploading it. What should I look for to know which year(s) I have? Thanks

71-72 GMC grills have an impression around the grill for black paint (many I've seen have the black paint taken off or worn so badly you can't tell it was there). 67-70 GMC grills have no impression because they weren't painted black. Post the link to the ebay listing and I'm sure people will help you out.

67 GMC grills have the GMC letters stamped right into the center of the grill 68-72 grills have no letters, the letters are on the hood.

the black recessed area on the 71/72 is actually in the center...like this grill here.

The 68 had teh GMC logo in the center like previously said.
The 68 - 70 had a small black pinstripe around the outer edge of it and had no recessed area in the center...like this one.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe on the 67 grilles, not only were the letters in the center of the crosshair, but there were no lip mouldings, like the "eyebrow" pieces that are on later GMCs

here is a 67 in the Pics section

Check out my website. I have a pic of a 67 and a 68-70 on the first page. Sorry, don't have a pic of a 71-72.

67 and 68 do not have the 'eyebrow moulding' nor the chrome top bar. However, the actual grill alone is a 68 - 70 item.

Like the Chevy's, The top bar is thinner on a 67-68 grill. As for the "eyebrows", My 70 has them. I think that's a 69-72 thing.

The 68 ahs the exact same grill as a 69 - 72. There is however, a chrome top bar installed onto it with rivits that make it seem taller. If you looka tthis pic of mine, you'll see the eyebrow trim missing on the passenger side. If you imaginr that missing on the top and the other side, then you'll see theat the 68 is the same.
