FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
So 3 weeks ago tomorrow I ordered a set of 20/22" Archer Wheels....
The guy told me it'd be 2-3 weeks which wasnt a problem but now their saying it'll be another 2-3 weeks...this is BS! Anyone else dealt with them? Last edited by DrtyJack75; 04-05-2011 at 08:59 AM. |

Re: FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
This seems to have happened with others also. They are a quality American company and quality products take time, although they should be honest and upfront at the time of purchase.

Re: FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
It seems late deliveries are typical these days. Just a fact of life...

Re: FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
Aluminum from Japan? I'm pretty certain Japan is an importer of aluminum. If your looking for Aluminum look North.
I had the same bs from S&P, two to three weeks to mill my valve covers. Call back in three weeks...two to three weeks. One less customer for them to worry about. Ordered some valve covers from Summit instead. Save your excuses. You can say quality takes time, but I say quality comes on schedule or I doubt the claim.

Re: FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
Are you pissed about the time wasted, or the float they have with your money?
I agree about the money part. Companies shouldn't be able to take the full amount of the transaction before the item ships. It should be like gas stations and the $1 pre-auth in a way. calculate out the interest YOU are paying on that credit card for 6 weeks...that's probably about $15-20 out of your pocket, meanwhile they are MAKING interest on your money...it would piss me off too.

Re: FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
as someone who works with aluminum on a daily basis, I can tell you that there is no shortage of raw materials ... someone is selling you excuses.

Re: FRUSTRATED with Centerline wheels
I understand quality takes time but these are not custom made intro wheels...
Im more pissed about them charging my credit card and not getting my wheels for 6 weeks, and that's assuming I get them in 3 more weeks. I hate LMC customer service about 99.9% of the time but the lady I last ordered from said she couldnt charge me for the carpet kit because it wasnt available at the time. I thought that was a standard but I guess not. 2nd part is I know their a busy company, but Customer Service should be a top priority. If a order is not going to be filled in a timely manner, I think a courtesy call is in order. As for Japan's materials..I believe the Earthquake was on or about March 10/11...I ordered these on March 15....IF by chance they were waiting on materials from Japan, that boat would of set sail WAAAAY before then. Not trying to start an arguement but just sayin. Oh well, not like I can afford Intros and because of the backspacing (5.25/5.5)/hub size/20-22" combo, I guess Im stuck waiting. Scrapin the Coast is in June....if I dont have them by then, I'm going to be EXTREMELY upset! Last edited by DrtyJack75; 04-05-2011 at 08:57 AM. |
