radiator fan clearance

On a totally stock six cylinder/fan/radiator how much clearance should there be between the fan and radiator? Mine has about 1/4"

Sounds too close for comfort to me. Are you sure the engine is mounted correctly, also assuming you dont have a space in between your fan and water pump pulley

There is a spacer about 1.5" I think I'll take it out
